Vicryl Rapide is the fastest absorbing suture by Ethicon. This is used when the need of wound support does not extend to more than 7-10 days. This could be in superficial soft tissue approximation of skin or mucosa.
Vicryl Rapide is a braided, coated suture
In other respects, Vicryl Rapide and its handling features are the same as in the normal Vicryl suture.It is a braided suture. This combines strength with good handling capabilities. A coating ensures smooth passage through tissue.
