Absorbable Sutures from SMI 

SMI offers cost-effective, absorbable sutures for professional wound closure. At SuturerOnline, you’ll find Surgicryl, Surgicryl Rapid, Catgut Plain, and Catgut Chrom in a variety of sizes and needle combinations.

Surgicryl is a braided and coated PGA suture with a medium strength and absorption profile. Surgicryl Rapid is also made of PGA but loses its strength more quickly and is intended for tissue that requires only short-term wound support. Catgut Plain and Catgut Chrom are made from purified bovine collagen. The chromium treatment causes Catgut Chrom to degrade more slowly than Catgut Plain.
