Surgicryl

Surgicryl is a resorbable, synthetic, braided suture from SMI made from Polyglactine 910.

Surgicryl from SMI is a synthetic, braided, and coated resorbable suturemade of polyglycolic acid. It has a medium-strength profile and is used for soft tissue closure and ligatures in various surgical fields.

Surgicryl degrades through hydrolysis. After approximately 21 days, about 50 percent of the suture’s original tensile strength remains. Complete resorption occurs after approximately 60–90 days. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you. The product line includes a variety of sizes, thread lengths, and needle combinations.
