Monocryl Plus by Ethicon. An antibacterial synthetic, monofile, absorbable suture.Monocryl Plus is equivalent to your normal Monocryl absorbable suture with the addition of a coating that enables antibacterial protection (triclosan).
WHO include triclosan coated sutures in the WHO Global Guidelines for the prevention of Surgical Site Infections.
