Vicryl Plus is equivalent to your normal Vicryl absorbable suture plus a coating that gives antibacterial protection.

• Coated with the proven broad-spectrum antibacterial triclosan to create a zone of inhibition around the suture line
• Effective against Staph A, Staph E, MRSA and MRSE

The handling and performance is identical to Vicryl. As with Vicryl, flaking is prevented by a coating that is unique for the Vicryl sutures. This also ensures a smooth tissue passage.

Vicryl is a copolymer made from glycolide and lactide. It is absorbed through hydrolysis.
