Vicryl Plus suture 4-0 FS-3 needle, 45 cm purple filament

Resorbable - synthetic - braided.
Vicryl Plus corresponds to the traditional Vicryl suture (polyglactin 901) extended with a coating that provides antibacterial protection. Handling properties, knot stability and "easy glide" through the tissue are identical to Vicryl.
Vicryl Plus inhibits colonization of bacteria including S. epidermis and S. aureus and its methicillin-resistant strains, forming a zone of inhibition around the suture thread.
Vicryl Plus contains Irgacare MP which is the mildest and purest form of the broad-spectrum antibacterial agent triclosan. Degradation also occurs here via hydrolysis.
Vicryl Plus residual strength:
2 weeks - 75%.
3 weeks - 50%
4 weeks - 25%.
The suture should be fully resorbed after 56 -70 days.
