Ethibond suture 4-0 DA needle VB, 45 cm green filament Pack with 12 sutures Non-absorbable - synthetic - multifilament. Ethibond Excel is a braided, surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate. It is prepared from fibers of high molecular weight, long-chain, linear polyesters. The highly adherent coating is a relatively non-reactive non-absorbable compound which acts as a lubricant to mecanically improve the physical properties of the uncoated suture. This by improving handling qualities as contrasted to the braided, uncoated fiber. The suture is braided for optimal handling properties.
