PTFE Sutures

Non-absorbable – synthetic – monofilament. 

PTFE sutures from Omnia are synthetic, monofilament, and non-absorbable sutures made of polytetrafluoroethylene. The soft and biologically inert material is specially designed for wound closure in the oral cavity.

Soft suture with low bacterial adhesion

The monofilament design results in a low tendency for bacterial adhesion compared to braided sutures. The PTFE material is soft and pliable, contributing to good patient comfort and smooth passage through the oral soft tissues.

For implant and periodontal surgery

Omnia’s PTFE sutures are particularly well-suited for implant surgery, periodontal surgery, and bone augmentation procedures. They can be used when a non-absorbable suture material with good tissue tolerance in the oral environment is desired. The product line includes several thread sizes and needle types for various surgical techniques.
