BLAKE Silicone Drains and J-VAC Reservoirs

BLAKE silicone drains from Ethicon are intended for postoperative drainage of blood, wound fluid, and other fluid accumulations. The drains are made of flexible silicone and feature a solid core with four continuous channels along the drainage section.

The channel design provides multiple possible flow paths and is engineered to prevent the drain from becoming blocked. Unlike traditional perforated drains, BLAKE drains lack separate side holes, which can also reduce trauma to the surrounding tissue when the drain is removed.

J-VAC System for Closed Wound Drainage

BLAKE drains can be connected to J-VAC reservoirs to create a sterile, portable, and closed wound drainage system with active suction. The product line includes 150-ml and 450-ml reservoirs, as well as a BLAKE 2:1 connector for connecting two drains to the same system.

Placement, connection, and use must be performed by trained healthcare personnel and must always follow the instructions for use for the specific drain and reservoir.
